In January, the Friends of Raven Rock State Park board will elect five new members, as several existing positions come to the end of their cycle. This includes electing a new chair and treasurer.

We’re reaching out to gather nominations for members you believe are qualified and interested in these roles—including yourself!

Serving on the board of FRARO is an opportunity to support the park in many ways:

• Provide funding for ad hoc park needs like maintenance equipment, supplies, and natural features
• Hold employee appreciation events for the park’s hardworking staff
• Share the message with our community to raise awareness of the park and its value

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who

• Are current FRARO members (or can join by Dec. 31).
• Can respond to board emails promptly and attend at least four board meetings per year.
• While backgrounds in business, education, event planning, finance, information technology, marketing, membership, or law are great assets, we most value those who are passionate about Raven Rock State Park and FRARO’s mission.
